MV’s Systems Division under new management
Ubirajara Maia joins the team of the Brazilian leader in healthcare management software with the mission of evolving platforms and developing innovations
With a solid experience in the development of cloud platforms and corporate products in Brazil and abroad, Ubirajara Maia takes over as Corporate Director of MV Systems. Reinforcing MV’s role at the national and international level and consolidating the company’s position as a major player in the provision of specialized healthcare software in Brazil, Ubirajara is heading a team of 500 professionals working at MV’s headquarters in Recife-PE and in its subsidiaries in Fortaleza, Porto Alegre-RS, Passo Fundo-RS, Ribeirão Preto-SP and Teresópolis-RJ. Cloud applications, health analytics, BPM/mobile solutions, integration, Internet of Things (IoT) and user experience are the key words of this new leadership. With strategic projects, the executive is also aware of his responsibility to strengthen the relationship with customers, improve the degree of product adherence, enhance the quality of solutions and reinforce strategic partnerships that leverage the existing portfolio.
With his recent participation in Media X, a research and innovation program of Stanford University in the United States, Ubirajara brings to the health area a new vision based on the expertise gained from the application of information technology in other market segments. “To support the overcoming of challenges, the goal is to bring the future of technology closer to healthcare, where the best use of IT and the implementation of new concepts may raise the industry level, improving patient care and reducing operating costs,” said new director of MV.
Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and a graduate degree in Finance from Faculdade Getúlio Vargas (FGV), his professional background includes relevant positions at NeoGrid, as CTO of the Brazilian multinational that develops solutions for Supply Chain Management, and at Datasul, as CIO, when he participated in the initial public offering (IPO) process. At TOTVS, also in the position of CTO, he headed the development of TOTVS | Platform with special mention to the Social ECM, which gave rise to Fluig.
